Highways Team Leader
Join Cumberland Council as a Highways Team Leader and lead a small, skilled team in delivering essential highway maintenance across Cumbria.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and organise a team of up to five operatives.
* Oversee highway maintenance tasks, including patching, drainage works, bridge maintenance, and traffic management.
* Ensure safety, quality, and performance on site.
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong knowledge of highway materials and maintenance processes.
* Proven leadership experience.
* Certification in abrasive wheels.
* Experience with plant and equipment.
* Desirable: NVQs in Highway Maintenance or Team Leadership.
* Desired certificates: CSCS, HIAB, NRSWA.
