Various full time and part time exciting opportunities have arisen in the Emergency department; we are looking for motivated, well organised people who loves a busy environment to join our reception team at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. These are permanent posts and we are offering both full time and part time hours, you will be required to work over a 7 day rota, working both day and night shifts and are also required to work bank holidays. 365 days rotation. The Emergency reception areas cover Adults, Children's, Ambulance, MIAMI arrivals and Live scanning, MSDEC and DVT Clinic. This is a demanding area and is a challenging role but has a friendly working environment, and would suit an individual who would like a challenge You need to have good customer service skills be able to work under pressure and be an excellent communicator and be organised and methodical. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Receptionist, with excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate effective team work. You will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about emergency care and you need to be committed to improving service delivery. The ability to work in a fast paced environment The role includes answering telephone and face to face enquiries, Scanning patient records in our live scan room and booking patients into the emergency department. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients relatives, so will need to possess good customer service skills. You will also need the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and on your own initiative Proficient communication skills, an aptitude for organising, attention to detail and accurate keyboard skills are essential. About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: http://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/aboutus/work-for-us/current-vacancies/ To work on any of the Emergency department reception desks providing cover on reception, receiving and directing patients, visitors and staff in a courteous manner To direct and redirect telephone calls in a polite friendly manner To capture patient demographics and any key information relating to their visit To liaise with other departments as required To support the department in the administrative and clerical processes and procedures associated with the running of a clinical service in support of excellent care for patients and their careers.
