If you are committed to providing excellent customer service and can contribute cheerfully and positively to an efficient, quality library service, then Poynton library could be the place for you. We currently have a vacancy for a Library Assistant to work 16.25 hours per week.
We need you to have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the services we provide and be able to work as part of a small team of dedicated staff carrying out a wide range of library duties, responding to the needs of the Council's Customer Service Point located in the library and be involved in assisting and running events for both adults and children.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent IT and communication skills, an interest in books and lifelong learning and have experience of working in a customer facing environment.
The 16.25 hours are worked over a two week timetable. The approximate pattern of hours are detailed below. There is a need for flexibility as there may be times when you could be asked to work at other libraries.
Week 1: Thursday and Friday 10 - 5pm
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10 - 5pm
