Field Engineer (178jc) – London and Southeast Area – £30k + O/T + Van\n\nMy client is an innovative IT services organisation, which is 100% dedicated to the channel and who are now looking for an additional Field Engineer to join its growing team of engineers to be based in the London area and you will covering London and the Southeast region (Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton, Oxford and Colchester)\n\nDUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.\n\nYou will be reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, and you will be responsible for, and involved with, installation and deployment of cables and IT hardware on various client sites and will be expected to drive (using the company’s vehicle) to the client’s premises, equipped with all it takes to get the job done.\n\n * Installation\n\n * Deployment of cables and Networking hardware\n\n * Configuration\n\n * Troubleshooting\n\n * Feedback to Service Desk\n\n * On-call & overtime available\n\nTo be eligible for this role you will need the following key skills:\n\n * Strong networking and cabling experience\n\n * Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot a wide range of networking technologies from leading manufacturers, including Cisco\n\n * Ideally have a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification, or equivalent experience\n\n * Experience dealing with customers\n\nAs well as the following personality skills\n\n * Strong communication skills\n\n * Ability to communicate and manage customer expectations\n\n * Flexible approach to customer and SCT requirements\n\n * Energetic, self-motivated, and disciplined\n\n * Collaborate with other functions internally and externally to ensure exceptional customer experience.\n\n * Pre-employment screening (including a DBS check) will be carried out ahead of starting at with my client.\n\nThis could be an ideal role for someone who has very basic IT skills and knowledge as full training is given and with further training and development on offer.\n\nIn return they are offering a long-term career development in a high-growth business, a starting salary of £30k as well as a company van and fuel card, pension scheme, life Assurance, 25-day holiday allowance, plus bank holidays, paid charity day as well as a number of other benefits.
