Overview
Contribute to development and implementation of policies and procedures within the department and those impacting across services e.g. Trust Medicines Management Policy.
As lead pharmacy technician, review medicines management practices within community teams, making recommendations to improve practice.
Assist in the inspection of facilities at CMHTs and give advice on the storage of drugs. Monitor stock list of drug supplies in accordance with the fluctuating demands of the clients managed in the community.
Deputise for the Chief Pharmacy Technician at relevant internal and external meetings with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and project management to the promazine de‑prescribing project across Greater Manchester.
* Provide leadership across Community Mental Health Teams with respect to medicines management.
* Work with the community teams to help deliver medicine management agenda.
* Have an active clinical role within both community and in patient sites when required.
Qualifications
* Do you have strong interpersonal and influencing skills and excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills?
* Do you have the ability to build rapport and positively influence clinical colleagues, including GPs and are you confident in negotiating, persuading, and facilitating behaviour change within primary care teams?
* Are you looking to work in collaboration with primary care, ICB, and other Trusts and ready to move to a leadership role?
* You will need to be confident at presenting to multiple professional groups and have excellent Excel skills.
