Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented qualified Pharmacy Dispenser (NVQ level 2) to join our team of problem solvers. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be responsible for supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services. Responsibilities Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of medication, including counting tablets, measuring liquids, and labelling containers. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering advice on their proper use. Be an effective problem solver of patient scenario’s that present at the Pharmacy Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies. Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as necessary. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of medication administration and pharmacy practices. Strong knowledge of medication mode of action and use Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service. High attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Proficient organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
