We want to keep investing in our engineering capability, and more importantly, we want to keep investing in the talent behind our capabilities.\n\nEngineering careers for diverse Apprentices\n\nNew insights, perspectives, passion and curiosity are all invaluable to us â we can teach you the rest â youâll have a structured training programme and a support network to help you develop.\n\nYou will spend 80% of your time gaining real, hands-on experience in the role and the other 20% will be dedicated to your Apprenticeship studies and working towards that full BEng\n(Hons) Engineering Design and Manufacture (Electronic or Mechanical) degree, in conjunction with Heriot-Watt University.\n\n Graduates' Expected Skillset\nOn completion of the Engineering Design and Manufacture Graduate Apprenticeship Programme the aim is to produce BEng (Hons) graduates who:\n\n⢠have a sound basis in theoretical engineering principles and methods as well as their application in the context of design and analysis;\n⢠can operate in a team as well as in multidisciplinary contexts;\n⢠have an appreciation of the wider commercial influences on, and the impact of engineering within Clas-SiC;\n⢠have problem-solving skills and the ability to apply such skills by developing innovative solutions to Clas-SiCâs practical needs;\n⢠have developed the personal qualities and professional competencies of\nelectronic/mechanical engineers that are tailored to the needs of the Company.\n To join us on a Graduate Apprenticeship Programme, you should be able to meet the requirements of entry into Heriot-Watt University Graduate Apprenticeship program,\nexample of which are shown below:\n\nYear 1 â 96 SCQF credits at level 6 or Minimum 106 UCAS points, for example:\nâ¢\tSQA Highers at BBBB including Mathematics and Physics or similar;\nâ¢\tA-Levels at BBC including Mathematics and Physics or similar;\nâ¢\tSQA HNC in an engineering discipline with Engineering Mathematics 1 & 2 (or equivalent).\nâ¢\tFoundation Apprenticeship in Engineering in conjunction with SQA Highers at BBBB including Mathematics or Similar.\n
