Senior Repair Stress Engineers required to work on behalf of our customer, delivering structural analysis on the Electrical Hybrid Vehicle VX4.
Contract role - 6 months
Remote working - occaisonal visits to your closest Morson office - Manchester, Bristol, Brough or Belfast.
Pay rate £42-£44 LTD - Outside IR35

The Repair Stress Engineer is responsible for the structural assessment and approval of manufacturing and in-service concessions, deviations, and repairs to ensure continued structural integrity and airworthiness of aerospace structures. The role focuses on rapid, technically sound decision-making to support production, maintenance, and operational requirements.
Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses of metallic and/or composite aerospace structures
Develop hand calculations and detailed finite element models to assess stress, strain, margins of safety, and structural integrity
Evaluate structural response to operational, limit, and ultimate loads
Support design optimisation by providing stress guidance and trade studies
industry-standard analysis tools (e.g. NASTRAN, PATRAN, Abaqus, ANSYS, HyperMesh)
Apply classical stress methods
