Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and providing high-quality nursing care in various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise in critical care, emergency medicine, and specialized treatments will contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering excellent healthcare services.
Duties
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
* Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and treatment options.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Perform procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, catheterization, and phlebotomy as needed.
* Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning to home or other facilities.
* Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
Qualifications
* Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
* Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities is preferred.
* Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
* Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
* Critical care experience is highly desirable; familiarity with Level I or II trauma centers is a plus.
* Knowledge of various specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health is beneficial.
* Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing compassionate patient-centered care.
