We're currently recruiting an ambitious Assistant Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells on a full-time basis contracted to 35 hours per week. As an Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food that brightens our clients' and customers' days, within the market-leading food service company in the UK. The role offers opportunities for progression, as our company invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards employees who go beyond the plate.
Please note: This role is contracted to 45 weeks per year.

Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
2. Overseeing and implementing menu changes
3. Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
4. Listening to and acting on customer feedback
5. Supporting the creation of new menus and food concepts
6. Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
7. Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked
8. Maintaining hygiene standards through kitchen cleaning responsibilities
9. Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations
Our ideal Assistant Chef will:
1. Be passionate about great-tasting food and customer service
2. Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
3. Have experience supervising a team
4. Have experience in a similar chef role
5. Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
6. Be flexible in working hours
