We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will perform day-to-day store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. Customer focus is at the heart of everything we do, with on-the-job coaching and feedback to improve service. With your guidance, the store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and the role in delivering profit.
* Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow store policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products to all customers.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Keep areas clean, tidy and organized with aisles clear of congestion.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of a Shift Leader and Store Manager at certain times.
* Follow all training to keep everyone safe and compliant.
* If applicable, duties may include day-to-day Post Office Local operations, which require a background check (Post Office Financial and criminal conviction). If these checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
