Salary: Competitive What youll be doing: * Provide metallurgical support to all functions, in particular Operations, Engineering and The Supply Chain on emergent issues arising during submarine build and commissioning * Offer metallurgical support to Submarine design engineering teams to ensure the use of appropriate materials and the management of corrosion * Support to knowledge transfer within the Materials Technology department * Identify areas of research for exploitation, lead research activities and author reports * Provide specialist metallurgical guidance within the department to ensure a work and investigations are processed and reported in a consistent and timely manner * The review and maintenance of relevant Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards and Operating Procedures * Effective communication within and external to the department on the initiation and application of solutions and processes * Manage with authority on forging, casting and metal forming processes Your skills and experiences: 1.
