We are currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Stores/Assembly Operative to join a busy engineering team based near Woodbridge on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production by accurately selecting and preparing products for the manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Picking and retrieving items from the storeroom using computerised stock/order system
* Manual handing
* Assembly using hand tools
* Driving to additional stores location in the local area to retrieve items.
* Ensuring all work is completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a practical role such as engineering, stores, assembly or construction
* Basic computer skills to look up stock and follow digital work instructions
* Ability to learn to read and interpret diagrams and assembly instructions
* Ability to use hand tools
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
