About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs and behavioural challenges in a school setting within the S63 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support to access their education.
You will be working closely with pupils who may have a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEND needs
*
Support students with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies
*
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*
Help create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
*
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress
*
Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
*
Experience working with SEND pupils, particularly those with complex needs or behavioural challenges
*
A calm, patient and resilient approach
*
Strong behaviour management skills
*
The ability to build trust and positive relationships with students
*
A passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
*
Relevant education or care experience (school, support work, youth work, care settings etc.)
