Cowbell Cyber is hiring an Assistant Underwriter to join our team. What you will do: Respond promptly and professionally to new business and renewal enquiries, with a focus on renewals, delivering high‑quality service and quotations within agreed SLAs and underwriting authority. Build strong technical knowledge of the Cyber market, including underwriting exposure and control analysis. Build relationships with insurance brokers and negotiate pricing, coverages and other terms. Support the preparation of management information and reports. Easily identify areas where our unique capabilities provide us with a competitive advantage and build out processes that support these. Carry out ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the Underwriting Manager. Attend relevant internal and external industry events to support learning and relationship building. Collaborate with a passionate team, have fun, grow, learn, and teach the company along the way. What Cowbell needs from you: At least one year insurance experience. Previous broking or underwriting experience within specialty lines is desirable. Driven, self‑starting individual with a strong work ethic who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment and contribute effectively within a high‑performance team.
