Role: Operations Coordinator Salary: £28 – 30,000 Contract: Permanent Location: Coventry CV4 Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am until 4.30pm Friday 8am until 1.30pm Benefits: Free parking, 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, healthcare and pension We are working on behalf of our client who is looking to recruit an Operations Coordinator to join their Operations / Supply Chain team. As an Operations Coordinator you will be the heart of the business supporting sales, logistics and operations through order coordination, including preparing quotations, processing orders, and issuing invoices. It acts as a key contact for customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and enquiries. Responsibilities include managing product returns, spare parts shipments, and maintaining customer contracts and records. The role also supports logistics by liaising with production to ensure timely delivery, coordinating domestic and international shipments with import/export documentation, and managing dangerous goods shipments in line with regulations. Shipment tracking, resolving exceptions, and maintaining accurate system data are essential. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude to work, with the ability to work at pace and deliver results. This is a full time office based role working 37.5 hour working week – Monday to Thursday 8am until 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 1.30pm Key Responsibilities * As an Operations Coordinator you work closely supporting sales, logistics and operations. * Responsible for preparing and issuing customer quotations in support of the sales * Process customer orders and generate accurate invoices * Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and queries * Coordinate product returns, spare parts shipments, and rental or demonstration equipment orders * Manage customer contracts and records within internal systems * Liaise with the production team to ensure orders are delivered on time and to specification and regularly update customer on status * Manage domestic and international shipments, including import and export documentation and proactively identify and communicate delivery risks or process issues * Coordinate dangerous goods shipments in line with regulatory requirements (training provided will be provided) * Track shipments, manage exceptions, and respond to customs or courier queries as they arise * Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports within agreed timeframes * Provide general operational and administrative support as required Skills & Experience * Previous experience in sales support, customer service administration or operations coordinator essential * Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail * Excellent communication skills * Confident user of Microsoft Excel and CRM systems * Positive attitude and reliable nature * Proactive with a problem-solving mindset to improve or streamline processes Benefits: * Free onsite parking * 26 days holiday plus bank holidays * Healthcare * Pension If you are an experienced Sales Administrator or Operations Coordinator looking for a role that offers long-term development, please apply today
