We are recruiting Cover Supervisors for several secondary schools in Corby to join their teams from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely within schools, supporting teachers and ensuring students continue learning smoothly.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay engaged and complete tasks using pre-prepared lesson plans and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage student behaviour across a variety of subjects (KS3 and KS4)
* Deliver pre-set lesson content, ensuring students follow instructions and remain on task
* Support students with their learning where appropriate, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere
* Report any issues, concerns, or progress updates to teaching staff promptly
* Assist with school routines including break and corridor supervision as required
* Be a dependable and consistent presence within the school community
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or school environment
* Confident and calm approach to managing classroom behaviour with authority and respect
* Ability to follow lesson plans and give clear, concise instructions to students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a school team
* Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic demands of a school setting
