Job Overview
Position: Clinical Development Fellow – Anaesthesia/Critical Care
Location: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH)
Term: Fixed‑term post, 12 months, starting August 2026.
Shift pattern: Full. Working nights and weekends as part of the critical care rota, with prospective cover.
Roles include: 80% clinical duties, 20% non‑clinical duties (research, QI, teaching/education, simulation, advanced clinical skills).
Responsibilities
* Provide routine and emergency care for level 2 and level 3 patients in the QEUH Critical Care unit.
* Participate in clinical rota separate from resident doctor training roster.
* Engage in non‑clinical activities such as research, quality improvement, teaching, simulation and advanced clinical skills.
Qualifications
* Completed the Foundation Programme, or core training (CT1/CT2), with interest in anaesthesia/critical care.
* Desire to gain experience before proceeding to the next stage of training.
* Willingness and ability to work full shifts, including nights and weekends.
* Full or acceptable equivalent training for this post.
Additional Training and Education
