The client - Manufacture electrical security products such as body cameras for police, mobiles laptops)
The role:
* Managing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting production operations. If you have experience in warehouse or logistics environments and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials in line with quality and documentation requirements.
* Perform visual inspections of components to identify defects, damage, or irregularities.
* Carry out de-burring tasks on parts to meet defined quality standards.
* Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch.
* Maintain up-to-date inventory records using internal systems and software.
* Store products safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
* Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
* Work with the production team to ensure timely and efficient material flow.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment.
* Utilise the Sage ERP system to manage and process purchase orders and book goods in.
Skills & Qualifications
* Experience using Sage or similar ERP systems to maintain inventory and support purchasing functions (preferred but not essential).
* Proven experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics operations.
* Strong attention to detail, particularly when inspecting or handling components.
* Experience with visual inspection processes as part of quality control.
* Ability to perform de-burring tasks using appropriate hand or power tools.
* Good computer skills & literacy; familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials up to 30lbs
* Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
