Assistant Client Manager - Independent Accountancy Practice

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a well‑established and supportive accountancy practice in the recruitment of an Assistant Client Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA part‑qualified professional looking to broaden their experience across multiple service lines while progressing towards managing their own client portfolio. The firm offers strong long‑term development within a friendly collaborative environment with excellent staff retention.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare year‑end statutory accounts and management accounts
* Prepare VAT returns and respond to client queries
* Assist with personal tax returns and tax computations
* Support senior team members across a varied client portfolio
* Assist on audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Build strong client relationships and contribute to a high standard of service
* Work across a range of sectors and service lines to develop technical experience
Key Requirements
* ACA or ACCA part‑qualified (AAT qualified and starting ACA/ACCA beneficial)
* Experience within an accountancy practice environment
* Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
* Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Team player with a proactive and positive approach
* Experience with IRIS, Xero, and Sage (FreeAgent beneficial)
