Job Description: If you enjoy providing great service and working in a team, we have the opportunity for you at our Farnham Vets for Pets practice to start as soon as possible on a fixed term basis.
What your typical day will look like
* Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets — providing a link between clients and the clinical team.
* Your ability to build strong relationships with our clients, their pets and the practice team will be critical to your success.
* Your great client service during a client’s visit will ensure absolute satisfaction and that the client leaves knowing they received exceptional service and look forward to their next visit.
* You will greet each client and offer support, guidance, and expertise, managing payments and future bookings confidently.
* Coordinating the smooth running of day-to-day routines using our online booking system, so computer literacy is a must.
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover position working 40 per week with 1 in 4 weekends
Attributes required
* You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
* You can provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.
* You are calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients’ needs.
* You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
* You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet to sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.
Your job will include
* Answering phones quickly and effectively dealing with all our client enquiries.
* Booking appointments, register new clients and pets, request and process payments.
* Entering data accurately in our practice management software.
* Dealing with email enquiries.
* Managing the diary daily.
* Ensure test results are reported and filed on schedule.
* Ensuring the reception area meets our hygiene standards.
* Cashing up each day.
You will need to demonstrate
* Excellent face-to-face customer service experience.
* An excellent telephone manner.
* Strong communication skills.
* A proactive and can-do attitude and problem-solving skills.
* Competent computer skills with the confidence and ability to learn to use a new practice management system.
* The ability to work to a consistent high standard in a high-pressure environment.
* Available to work shifts starting at 8am or finishing at 19:15.
* Previous reception experience desirable
