About the Role: We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and accountable Technical & Compliance Assistant to join our team. This is an office-based role with regular bakery floor duties, supporting audits, compliance, and quality assurance across our production operations. We are keen hear from candidates who have had experience in a food manufacturing environment looking to take the next step in their career and perhaps move into their first technical role. Key Responsibilities: Conduct GMP, CCP, and BRC-related audits, including mould-free shelf life monitoring. Log and close non-conformances, maintain document control, and update procedures. Support traceability exercises, mock recalls, and mass balance checks. Maintain and trend production and microbiological data using Microsoft tools. Assist with continuous improvement projects and operator competency checks. Collaborate with teams across the site to uphold food safety and quality standards. Who We’re Looking For: Trustworthy, accountable, and able to take ownership of tasks. Organised with strong attention to detail; notices small mistakes. Positive, proactive, and works well with others. Willing and curious to learn, asking questions to improve knowledge. Competent with Microsoft Office and data management. Previous food manufacturing or technical experience is a bonus, but not essential.
