Role: AHP Assistant Practitioner, Band 4, Dudhope Young People's Unit, CAMHS, Dundee
We are looking for a committed individual to join our AHP team which forms part of the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at Dudhope YPU. The post-holder will be delegated appropriate tasks by our Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Speech and Language Therapist; working under their supervision and guidance in undertaking both clinical and non-clinical tasks. The post-holder will support and deliver both group therapies and one-to-one interventions with our patients (young people, aged 12-18); and be involved in the monitoring and recording of responses to these interventions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed team and develop your skills and experience in working with young people in CAMHS.
Responsibilities
* Carry out delegated tasks under supervision of the Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Speech and Language Therapist, supporting both clinical and non-clinical activities.
* Support and deliver group therapies and one-to-one interventions for young people aged 12-18, and monitor responses to these interventions.
Qualifications and requirements
* Mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland (must achieve or have achieved) and compliance with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
* Hours of work: 37 per week (Monday – Friday).
* Previous experience in CAMHS or working with young people is desirable but not required depending on the role and training opportunities.
