As a member of Nottinghamshire Podiatry Services, you would have the opportunity to rotate into Podiatric Surgery, Community-based Foot Protection Team, and Diabetic MDT hospital-based clinics. You would work in a variety of clinical settings within the Nottinghamshire area, both domiciliary, clinical, and hospital settings. Must be able to meet the physical and travel requirements of the position.

* Provide assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of individual treatment plans for patients, and discharge following a set criteria.
* Support to complete nail surgery competency.
* Participate in an annual appraisal and personal development plan.
* Receive peer support, continued professional development, and regular clinical supervision.
* Attend Nottinghamshire-wide team meetings and training days, including POMs and LA updates.
* Pursue internal opportunities for career advancement.
All applicants will have full and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold a Degree or Diploma in Podiatric Medicine and a certificate for Local Anaesthesia or be working towards it. New or final year podiatry students are welcome to apply.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use are required for this post; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated team, with mentorship working within a team and/or independently in both community, patients' residence, and acute settings, providing high-quality clinical care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement individualized care programs for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs, including acute or chronic, neuropathies, chronic diseases, vascular problems, wound management, MSK, and Nail Surgery.
* Plan and manage the caseload with the mentorship and support of a senior podiatrist.
* Instruct clients and carers, providing direction and guidance on a range of Podiatry interventions independently with a variety of clinical settings, including patients' place of residence.
* Assist colleagues with challenging clients or those with complex needs who require more than one person to treat.
* Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with clients, relatives, and carers.
* Provide administrative support to the Department duties, e.g., maintaining stock levels and patient appointment bookings.
* Access computer systems, including Systmone, for the recording and actioning of patient information and treatment activity.
* Submit accurate records of sickness, lieu time, study, expenses, and annual leave.
* Comply with the organizational and departmental policies and procedures and be involved in reviewing and updating as required.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled Worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
