PRINCIPAL EHO (COMMERCIAL REGULATION)
Salary details: £48,710 - £51,802
Are you an experienced Environmental Health professional ready to lead a dynamic team and shape the future of environmental regulation in Hull? We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Principal Environmental Health Officer to join our Public Protection team within the Public Health and Adult Services Directorate.
As a key member of the Environmental Regulation management team, you will:
1. Lead and manage statutory functions across Air Quality, Animal Welfare, Licensing, Contaminated Land, and Permitting.
2. Supervise and support a team of professional officers, including Senior Environmental Health and Air Quality Officers, Contaminated Land Officers, and Animal Wardens.
3. Develop and implement annual work plans, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with national and local targets.
4. Provide expert advice, manage complex investigations, and represent the Council in legal and public forums.
5. Drive innovation through digital transformation and contribute to policy development and strategic planning.
