Children Deputy Manager-Respite Service-Nottingham-£40K\nLocation: Nottingham\nSalary: £40,000 per annum\nContract: Monday- Friday- 37.5 hours a week\n\nAre you ready to take the next step in your career in children’s residential care? We are looking for a committed and experienced Deputy Manager to support the running of a small, 1-bed respite home for children and young people with additional or complex needs in Nottingham.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nAs Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to provide safe, nurturing, and high-quality short-term care. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership skills in a supportive, person-centred environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupport the day-to-day management of the home and ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards\nSupervise and mentor care staff, promoting high standards of professional practice\nContribute to care planning and ensure children’s emotional and physical needs are met\nMaintain a child-focused approach and positive relationships with families and external agencies\nTake part in on-call duties and support the Registered Manager with audits, reports, and quality assurance\nSkills & Experience Required:\n\nAt least 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s care setting\nPrevious experience in a senior or team leader role\nWorking towards or hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)\nStrong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and children’s rights\nExcellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills\nA compassionate, calm, and resilient approach to care\nWhat We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary of £40,000\nOpportunity to grow into a Registered Manager role\nSupportive management and training for continued development\nA chance to make a real difference in a small, impactful service\nFor more information, call Lindsay on (phone number removed) or email your CV to (url removed)
