ERM Certification and Verification Services (CVS), a rapidly growing global team within ERM Group, is a Certification, Assurance and Verification Body with expertise in audit, assessment, validation, verification, and assurance work across various ESG disciplines and sectors.
We are seeking an enthusiastic ESG Assurance Associate/Assessor to join our Corporate Assurance team, based in EMEA/North America. The successful candidate will provide independent assurance of GHG/ESG information for multinational clients across diverse sectors.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support Project Managers in delivering independent assurance of GHG/ESG data, including sustainability reporting, sustainability-linked loans, product claims, and carbon markets.
* Assist senior colleagues with assurance procedures such as media research, data analysis, evidence collection, site visits, and disclosure review.
* Maintain documentation and project files in accordance with assurance standards and internal quality requirements.
* Support client visits at head office and operational sites.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree in sustainability, engineering, business, or audit-related field.
* 1-4 years of experience with assurance principles, GHG/ESG data, and knowledge of climate change and sustainability reporting is preferred.
* Interest in sustainability issues, including governance, environment, health and safety, human rights, supply chain, and community relations.
* Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, GHG Protocol, ISSB, CDP, DJSI, TCFD, and SDGs.
* Experience with auditing standards like ISAE3000, ISAE3410, ISO14064:3, PCAOB standards.
* Technical understanding of environmental impacts and GHG emissions.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Strong client relationship skills.
* Proficiency in data analysis and Excel.
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
* Willingness to learn and contribute actively.
* Team player with self-motivation.
* Willing to travel for client visits.
