We are seeking experienced Residential Children’s Home Managers to lead and manage high-quality care for children and young people. This hands-on, on-site leadership role requires a minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a residential care setting.
You will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of residents. You will manage and mentor staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and create a positive, nurturing environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all aspects of the residential home.
* Supervise, coach, and support staff to deliver outstanding care.
* Develop and monitor care plans, activities, and programmes for residents.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
* Manage budgets, resources, and administrative duties efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records and reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
* Act as the main point of contact for families, social workers, and external agencies.
Requirements
Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Workforce (CYPWD) or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years’ management experience in residential care.
* Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Ofsted, CQC, etc.).
* First Aid and CPR certification.
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
