Corporate Security Officer (SC Clearance)

Location & Working Hours
Location: Slough
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Hours: 42 to 48 hours per week, working days, nights and weekends (4 on 4 off)
Key Requirements
• British National with a minimum of 5 years UK residency
• Right to work in the UK and a 5‑year checkable history
• Valid, current SIA licence (DS/SG/CCTV)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or the ability to commute within a 45‑minute drive
• No current criminal convictions
• Prior security officer experience SC Clearance commitment and completion of the clearance process are essential.
Responsibilities
* Conduct external and internal security patrols and perform routine tests of security equipment.
* Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions.
* Manage keys and carry out locking/unlocking duties as per assignment instructions.
* Monitor access control & camera systems (Bosch, Lenel), investigating fire alarm activations.
* Respond to alarms and address access control alarms using systems and cameras.
* Use radio and other equipment to dispatch and track security officer calls and apply stop‑and‑search policies when required.
* Provide customer service by answering calls and coordinating security services.
* Identify and log access control malfunctions, raise tickets for equipment, system or facility requests.
* Manage emergency incidents with physical security officers, liaise with first responders and follow Securitas Operations Centre protocols.
* Maintain logbooks and records, complete paperwork timely and conduct effective handover procedures.
* Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe practices to management.
* Provide support and information to staff, visitors and contractors to safeguard premises.
* Issue visitor/contractor passes and handle lost property.
* Undertake any other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proficient in reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
* Experience with CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems is preferred.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Proactive incident management and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in IT and using software, databases and communication systems.
* Excellent knowledge of surveillance systems.
* Demonstrated dedication to the SC clearance process.
