Graduate Teaching Assistants – Denton – September Start
Are you a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a school setting before pursuing a career in teaching, psychology, or education?
Secondary schools in Denton are seeking enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with experienced teaching staff and support students both in and out of the classroom.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in raising attainment and promoting student engagement. You’ll provide targeted support to pupils in your subject area—whether that’s Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Psychology, or another field—through a mix of classroom assistance, one-to-one academic interventions, and small group sessions. These sessions may focus on reinforcing key concepts, preparing for assessments, or building foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.
You’ll also work with students who need additional help due to Special Educational Needs (SEND) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This may involve implementing personalised strategies to help students stay on task, improve confidence, and overcome learning barriers.
These roles are ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth and social work. Many schools offer progression routes into teacher training for those who show potential and commitment.
