About the Role: This is a hands-on quality inspection role covering both vendor and in-house manufacturing operations. The role will involve inspecting incoming goods, in-process inspections on the shop floor, and supporting quality activities across the vendor base. Responsibilities: Inspection of incoming engineering components and fabricated parts Reviewing weldments and machined items in materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and industrial plastics Conducting in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet drawing specifications and quality standards Using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and verniers Verifying dimensions, surface finish, and completeness of assemblies Health & Safety Responsibilities: Oversee daily Health & Safety operations, ensuring full compliance with all statutory and legal requirements. Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to manage and maintain the annual H&S planner, ensuring all scheduled activities are completed within agreed timelines and involving relevant departments as necessary. Take ownership of promoting and continuously enhancing the company's Health & Safety culture and performance. Required Skills: Previous experience in a quality inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerances Proficiency with common inspection tools and equipment
