Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator Salary: Up to £45,000 Location: Stockport (Office-based, Full-time) As Senior Payroll Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with UK legislation. Key Responsibilities: Process end-to-end monthly and weekly payrolls for approx. 3,000 employees, including calculations for overtime, bonuses, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) Ensure accurate application of statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, pensions, student loans) Produce and distribute payslips, P45s, P60s, and P11Ds; submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC Maintain accurate payroll records to support audits and reporting Keep up to date with legislative changes affecting payroll, including tax, minimum wage, and pensions Respond to payroll-related queries from employees, HR, Finance, HMRC, and pension providers Identify and support process improvements, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency What You’ll Bring: Solid experience in payroll In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC reporting requirements Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Desirable (Not Essential)...
