Job Description
Caterlink is recruiting a Food Safety and Health and Safety Advisor to support our South and South West regions, working within our Food Safety and Health and Safety Team.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards, building strong relationships, and leading by example. There are opportunities for career development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert support on food safety, health & safety, and related matters to the Food Safety and Health and Safety team and Operations team.
* Assist in investigating accidents, alerts, and near misses, ensuring proper recording and timely processing according to company procedures, including updating electronic systems (Prime).
* Support the development, engagement, and implementation of safety initiatives and information to meet company standards.
* Contribute to fostering a strong safety culture across sites.
* Support investigations related to food poisoning incidents and safety complaints.
* Visit sites to ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented and report findings.
* Assist with updates related to food legislation and company policy changes.
* Liaise with third-party auditors.
This role may require occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in Food Safety and Health & Safety.
* Understanding of safety culture principles.
* Professional approach to time management, costs, and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good organizational skills.
* Experience in the catering sector is desirable.
* Full driving license and own car (a car allowance is provided).

* Salary: £27,000 per annum plus a £3,660 car allowance.
