Hospitality Venue Manager - Part Time (25 Hours) Southport Town Centre Salary: £24,000 (Pro Rata) Overview We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Hospitality Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a vibrant hospitality and events space in Southport town centre. This is a varied role combining bar/café management with light event coordination, ensuring the venue runs smoothly while delivering an excellent customer and guest experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and can confidently manage both service and live event settings. Key Responsibilities Venue Operations Oversee the daily running of the venue, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation Manage opening and closing procedures Hospitality Management Supervise bar and café service during operating hours Step into service during quieter periods when required Ensure excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment Event & Programme Coordination Support the delivery of live events, sessions, and performances Ensure events run on time and transitions are smooth Help maintain the overall flow, atmosphere, and guest experience Liaise with performers and facilitators to ensure requirements are met Team Leadership Supervise and support staff, including temporary team members and placements Assist with training and development of team members Allocate staff effectively based on service needs and event demand Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to licensing laws and health & safety regulations Oversee cash handling and basic operational procedures Maintain a safe and well-managed environment for staff and guests Working Pattern Part-time: 25 hours per week Typically across evenings and weekends (including Thursday–Sunday) Flexibility required in line with event schedules About You Previous experience in hospitality, bar, café, or small venue management Comfortable working in both service and event environments A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example Calm, organised, and able to make decisions under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, proactive, and adaptable Desirable (Not Essential) Experience working in live events or performance venues Personal Licence or knowledge of licensing regulations Food Hygiene certification What We Offer A varied and engaging role within a creative and community-focused environment Opportunity to be involved in events and cultural programming Supportive and collaborative working atmosphere Opportunity to take ownership and make a real impact
