WORKING HOURS: 46 hours per week, 12-hour days Monday to Thursday

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Fabricator / Welder working within a well-established engineering workshop.
As a Fabricator / Welder you will fabricate, cut and weld structural steel components while working to detailed engineering drawings and quality standards.
The Fabricator / Welder will operate tools, machinery and lifting equipment safely, producing accurate work that supports construction, manufacturing and industrial projects.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Fabricator / Welder include:
* Reading Technical Drawings: Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Fabrication of Structural Steel: Produce and assemble UB’s, UC’s, PFC’s, CHS’s and other steel sections
* Cutting and Welding: Carry out cutting, grinding and welding tasks to required standards
* Safe Use of Tools and Machinery: Operate fabrication equipment, hand tools and measuring devices
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets dimensional accuracy and quality expectations
* Lifting Operations: Safely use overhead cranes and lifting equipment
* Workshop Safety: Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at all times
* Team Collaboration: Work with supervisors and colleagues to meet production deadlines
* PPE Compliance: Always wear correct PPE and follow all health and safety procedures
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
* Previous experience in steel fabrication
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Experience with welding and metalworking processes
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* Knowledge of workshop health and safety practices
* Good physical fitness and ability to handle materials
* Reliability with a strong work ethic and good communication skills
DESIRABLE
* Trade qualification in fabrication or welding
