We are currently recruiting companions to join our exceptional team of Care Angels in Godalming and the surrounding areas. This individual plays a vital role in providing emotional support, companionship and personal care to our very special clients in their own home.
About the Role
We are looking for a kind, reliable, and positive support worker to help a 19-year-old young man with cerebral palsy. The main part of the role is supporting him in the mornings to get ready for his transport, with some extra hours at weekends when needed.
Due to the personal care needs of this role and to respect his dignity, this position is open to male applicants.
This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference, helping him start his day positively while encouraging him to be as independent as possible.
Responsibilities
* Helping with his morning routine (getting ready for transport)
* Providing occasional weekend support
* Assisting with tasks while encouraging independence
* Bringing positivity and encouragement to his day
Requirements
* Friendly and outgoing personality
* Patient, supportive, and respectful
* Reliable and punctual
* Previous care experience is helpful but not essential – the right attitude is most important
Hours
* Morning shifts: a couple of hours each day (before transport)
* Occasional weekend hours by arrangement
