Fleet Manager Location: Warrenpoint, County Down Salary: £35,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent Ashton Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Fleet Manager on behalf of our client, an established and growing facilities management and building services contractor operating across the UK and Ireland. With strong foundations in construction, the business delivers energy solutions, property maintenance and large-scale infrastructure projects across residential, commercial and public sector environments. The Role This is a hands-on, operational role responsible for the effective management of a fleet of approximately 150 vehicles. You will work closely with engineers, planners and management teams to ensure fleet availability, compliance and efficiency across the business. Key Responsibilities Manage a fleet of approximately 150 vehicles, including servicing, MOTs, inspections and repairs Maintain and update the Vehicle Management System, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records Monitor vehicle trackers and analyse data, producing reports for operational teams Coordinate with engineers and planners to ensure vehicle availability at all times Support compliance across quality, environmental and health & safety standards (in collaboration with the Compliance Manager) Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve fleet-related issues efficiently Handle telephone and email queries in a professional and timely manner Provide administrative support to wider teams as required Ensure adherence to data protection and company policies Carry out additional ad hoc duties to support business operations Essential Criteria GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative or fleet/logistics-related role Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel Experience using data input or management systems (e.g. fleet or maintenance systems) Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment Strong customer service skills with experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders Personal Attributes Ability to work independently and use initiative Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Clear and effective communication skills Reliable with strong time management Team player with the ability to build relationships across departments Flexible and adaptable approach to workload Positive attitude towards continuous improvement Willingness to work additional hours when required Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates will be required to complete an AccessNI check as part of the onboarding process.
