Kolt recruitment are looking for a strip fitter to join a busy automotive bodyshop in high wycombe. this is a hands-on role focused on stripping and refitting vehicles to a high standard, supporting the paint and panel teams to keep work moving efficiently and safely.
key responsibilities
* strip vehicles prior to repair and paint work, including interior/exterior trims and components
* refit all parts post-repair, ensuring correct alignment, function, and finish
* remove and refit bumpers, lights, panels, mirrors, glass trims, dashboards and interior components
* identify and report any additional damage, missing parts, or safety concerns
* complete quality checks and ensure vehicle systems operate correctly after refit
* maintain clean, safe working practices and follow workshop processes
requirements
* previous experience as a strip fitter / prep strip technician within a bodyshop environment
* confident removing and refitting a wide range of vehicle components without damage
* good understanding of bodyshop workflow and repair processes
* strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
* reliable, punctual, and able to work to targets/deadlines
* full uk driving licence preferred
