Job Title: Internal Sales Engineer
As an Internal Sales Engineer you will support the sales team by handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and helping to secure orders. This role involves working closely with internal teams and customers to deliver the right solutions on time. Experience in a sales or technical role in engineering or manufacturing is desirable with the ability to read and understand technical drawings/specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer enquiries and confirm receipt
Understand customer requirements, including technical specifications
Work with engineering, production, quality, and purchasing teams
Prepare and issue quotations
Source costs for materials, labour, and services when needed
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers
Manage customer accounts or territoriesKey Outcomes
Enquiries handled quickly and efficiently
Customer deadlines consistently met
Sales and profit targets achieved
Strong relationships built with customers
Clear communication with customers and internal teams
Good understanding of company processes and proceduresSkills & Experience
Qualifications (preferred but not essential):
Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or similarExperience (desirable):
Sales or technical role in engineering or manufacturingKey Skills:

Commercial awareness and negotiation skills
