We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Senior Public Health Development Manager to join our Public Health Team.
The role will oversee a portfolio of programmes, primarily focusing on mental wellbeing (including suicide prevention), healthy ageing, and support for our Public Health apprentices.
As a Senior Public Health Development Manager, you should possess a solid understanding of public health principles, theory, and practice, as well as knowledge of health systems and related areas, including:
1. Government policy;
2. Strategic commissioning and developing services from external providers;
3. Needs analysis, performance review, and related processes;
4. Stakeholder engagement and relationship building within the public sector;
5. Clinical Governance or quality assurance mechanisms;
6. Policy and practice influence;
7. Change management and professional persuasion to improve health services.
Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification and/or extensive experience as a public health practitioner, along with programme management skills such as budgeting, needs assessment, monitoring, and evaluation.
