Commissioning Engineers play a vital role in performing Electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the allocated cost and time scale constraints of the material-handling project. They also ensure the commissioning activities follow the correct methods and standards to meet the requirements of the customer's project.

Control Commissioning Engineer Objectives:
* Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
* To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
* To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
* To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
* Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
* Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* To maintain the image as a top-quality, professional company, by adopting an honest, professional and attentive approach.
* To maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers, through the provision of a high-quality service.
* To liaise with other Company Departments, Customers and sub-contractors.
* To comply with the company policies.
* To promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time cost and quality or project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
* HNC or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering is essential as a minimum qualification.
* Experience with electrical commissioning activities.
* Experience with PLC commissioning activities would be an advantage but not essential to this position as we would look to invest in your development here.
* An understanding of automated warehouses is desirable, not essential.
* Hands-on experience with Electrical commissioning.
* Exposure to PLC, HMI, or SCADA development activities would be an advantage but not essential.
* Ability to understand Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
* Good understanding of bus systems
* Understanding of distributed control systems is desirable, not essential.
* Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
* Full driver's license to support the travel requirements of the role.
