About the Role
As aTeam Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of qualified social workers and support staff, delivering high-quality services to children and young people who are permanently looked after. You will be responsible for:
* Managing the effective deployment of the workforce and resources within budget.
* Ensuring timely and appropriate allocation of referrals and open cases.
* Promoting the voice of children, young people, families, and carers in service development.
* Providing supervision, development reviews, and training planning for staff.
* Driving the achievement of permanence for our Children Looked After.
* Auditing case records and assuring the quality of practice.
* Chairing multi-agency forums and case planning meetings.
* Ensuring effective multi-agency action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our Children Looked After.
* Investigating complaints in line with agreed procedures.
* Driving evidence-based practice and learning from research and national guidance.
This is a pivotal leadership role where your decisions and direction will directly impact the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* A qualified social worker (DipSW or equivalent) with post-qualifying training.
* Experienced in statutory childcare work, particularly with Children Looked After.
* Skilled in managing complex casework and leading teams.
* Confident in providing support and coaching to reporting staff.
* Knowledgeable about national legislation, guidance, and best practices.
* A confident communicator, able to build rapport and deliver clear information.
* A strategic thinker who can plan for future service improvements.
* Passionate about safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting positive outcomes.
