 
        
        Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our paediatric OT service at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. This is a fixed term/part-time post. The post holder will work as part of the Evelina REACH team and outpatient Stroke/ABI Recovery clinics. The successful candidate will deliver clinical care across the Stroke/ABI Recovery Clinic and Evelina REACH Services.
Responsibilities
 * Lead face-to-face and virtual clinics in the Stroke/ABI Recovery Clinic, collaborating with a specialist neuropsychologist to offer specialist consultation across occupational domains. Assess and manage children with complex medical and/or neurodevelopmental needs, providing flexible, individualised recommendations.
 * Deliver protocol-driven upper limb rehabilitation within the Evelina REACH team, including approaches such as bimanual therapy, modified constraint-induced movement therapy, and goal-directed, task-based occupational therapy.
 * Conduct detailed assessments and deliver targeted interventions in partnership with families and community therapists to support children’s goals in self-care, school, and play.
 * Liaise with professionals in health, education, and social care to ensure holistic, child-centred care. Supervise students, support team-wide clinical standards, and contribute to service development with clinical specialist OTs.
 * Engage in ongoing professional development through training, reflection, audits, journal reviews, service evaluations, and potential research. Demonstrate strong communication and collaborative working skills to deliver integrated, high-quality care.
Team and setting
This Band 7 OT post is within the paediatric OT service at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, at the St Thomas\' Hospital site. The paediatric OT team comprises 20 paediatric OTs and two OT assistants. The team emphasises continued professional development and progression across all pillars of practice.
Growth, supervision, and development
You will be responsible for supporting knowledge and skills development for junior staff in this area and contributing to service development. There is opportunity to further develop specialist knowledge and skills in assessment and intervention for children within your caseload by working in consultation with clinical specialist OTs.
Supervision
You will be supervised by clinical specialist staff within the paediatric OT team and supported by the clinical lead for paediatric Occupational Therapy, with professional management by the Trust Head Occupational Therapist.
