Overview
The Cancer Information and Support Services team sits within Cancer Services at NNUH and plays a central role in delivering high quality, person‑centred support to people affected by cancer across the Trust and wider locality. The team incorporates the North Norfolk Macmillan Information Centre, the NNUH Macmillan Information Pod, and the Cancer Care Navigator service. Together, these services provide trusted, evidence‑based information, emotional support and practical guidance for patients, families and carers at every stage of the cancer pathway. Working closely with Clinical Nurse Specialists, Allied Health Professionals, the Macmillan Lead Cancer Nurse, the Personalised Care Lead and the wider Colney Care Group, the team ensures equitable access to information and supports personalised, holistic care. The department is also instrumental in delivering education, coordinating volunteers, supporting survivorship initiatives and collaborating with local and national partners, including the Integrated Care Board and Macmillan Cancer Support. Our work is guided by NNUH's PRIDE values, with a strong focus on compassion, empowerment, service development and continuous quality improvement, creating a safe, inclusive, and responsive environment where patients feel heard, supported and informed.
