Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)! Urgently required! Temp – 12 Month Contract
Location: Chard
Hours: 39 hours/week (days) or 37.5 hours/week (shift rotation)
Salary: £40,000 + Overtime Opportunities

We're looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join our clients dynamic Production Engineering team. You'll play a key role in keeping cutting-edge manufacturing equipment in peak condition, helping maintain top performance and ensure product excellence.
What You'll Be Doing as a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)
* Troubleshooting and resolving equipment faults to minimise downtime
* Carrying out preventative maintenance and continuous improvement tasks
* Supporting machinery upgrades and installations
* Championing Health & Safety practices and environmental policies
* Taking ownership of quality and performance improvements across production equipment
What You'll Need
Essential:
* Time-served/qualified electrician with hands-on experience
* Strong mechanical skills with an electrical focus
* ONC or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
* Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Desirable:
* Electro-mechanical apprenticeship
* PLC programming knowledge
* Experience with pneumatics/hydraulics
* Automotive sector experience
* Driving licence
