Role Responsibilities
Are you passionate about supporting individuals with mental health needs to lead active, fulfilling lives? Do you enjoy planning and delivering engaging activities that promote wellbeing, recovery, and social inclusion?
As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing the therapeutic environment at Heatherwood Court. You will work closely with service users and the multidisciplinary team to co-produce and facilitate a programme of meaningful activities tailored to individual interests and recovery goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
15. Building rapport with service users to assess their interests, strengths, and needs
16. Planning and delivering a range of social, creative, recreational, and skills-based activities
17. Promoting personal recovery principles and supporting service users to live the life they want to lead
18. Collaborating with the MDT to ensure activities are client-centred and therapeutic
19. Establishing links with local community initiatives in line with the Building Better Lives framework
20. Acting as a resource of information and encouragement for service users
21. Maintaining accurate records in accordance with Iris Care Group policies
Role Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
22. Experience working in mental health or social care settings
23. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
24. A creative and enthusiastic approach to engagement
25. The ability to motivate and inspire individuals
26. A valid UK driving licence
This role may include working evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
