Murphy is recruiting for an Emerging Talent Business Partner. The role will primarily focus on Murphy Apprentice Programmes.
The Emerging Talent team at Murphy is part of the wider People function, comprised of individuals passionate about people development and experienced in a professional environment.
The Emerging Talent Business Partner undertakes various tasks, all focused on attracting, recruiting, and retaining apprentices within Murphy, with a passion for growing and innovating the business’s approach to Emerging Talent pipelines.
A day in the life of a Murphy Emerging Talent Business Partner
* Support the People Partners in implementing apprentice management practices effectively
* Lead the attraction, recruitment, programme roll-off, and retention of apprentices, ensuring a positive experience across the full ET cycle
* Organise and run inductions and other events throughout the year
* Maintain relationships with apprenticeship providers and drive outreach activities with external HE/FE institutions
* Act as an advocate for the Murphy 75 people plan, focusing on increasing the diversity of the apprentice population and their benefits to the business
* Manage contract relationships, quality assurance, and record keeping for Apprentice Levy Funded programmes
* Lead Murphy’s apprenticeship input into bids and work-winning opportunities
* Collaborate with social value leads to promote Murphy’s brand in society
* Define the framework for apprentice development, organise development sessions, and ensure a high-quality development experience

* Experience in the Emerging Talent cycle
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly and advise on impacts and opportunities
* Confidence in facilitating large groups during key talent events and training sessions
* Understanding of funding streams, grants, CITB, apprenticeship levies, and skills cards like CSCS
* Proven ability to attract, recruit, and engage trade specialist apprentices
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK
