We are seeking a Building Performance Evaluation Engineer to join a growing team delivering specialist testing and compliance services across the North East. This is a hands-on, field-based role involving the testing and evaluation of new and existing buildings to help clients demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations and industry standards. As a Building Performance Evaluation Engineer, you will carry out a variety of testing services including air tightness, sound insulation, ventilation, heat transfer coefficient and thermography assessments, while building strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service. Building Performance Evaluation Engineer Role: As a Building Performance Evaluation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of testing and evaluation services, ensuring high standards of technical excellence, compliance and customer satisfaction. Building Performance Evaluation Engineer Key Responsibilities: Deliver a wide range of building performance testing services. Conduct air tightness, sound insulation, ventilation, heat transfer coefficient and thermography testing. Validate procedures for new and existing products and services. Conduct fault diagnosis and provide detailed reports on findings. Ensure all services are delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales. Monitor and manage tools, equipment and materials required for testing activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and service delivery. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients. Address customer enquiries professionally and effectively. Maintain accurate records and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 and other quality standards. What They Are Looking For: Essential: Ability to manage commercial considerations whilst maintaining a customer-centric approach. Methodical and practical approach with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. PC literate with the ability to use technical software and equipment. Ability to apply critical thinking and make informed decisions. Knowledge of industry standards and best practice, including ISO/IEC 17025. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Full UK driving licence. Desirable: Experience carrying out building performance testing. Knowledge of Building Regulations and compliance standards.
