We're pleased to be recruiting for a Tax & Trusts Technical Consultant to join our team. At SimplyBiz, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional support and guidance to our members. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to both our members and internal staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and understanding necessary to navigate complex taxation and trust matters relevant to the areas of advice undertaken by UK financial advisors. This is a hybrid role with some attendance to our office in Huddersfield, plus occasional travel for group presentations as required. Key Responsibilities: Provide prompt, accurate and professional assistance to individual member queries via telephone and email. Maintain records of communication with member firms via Dynamics. Maintain knowledge of the UK taxation regime and the ability to relay this to members in a clear and understandable manner. Conduct thorough research and investigation to deliver robust solutions to member firm queries. Possess a comprehensive understanding of various investment products and their applications, including life assurance investment bonds, collective investments, and more. Offer guidance and assistance to member firms in aligning their clients' objectives with suitable financial solutions, including the strategic use of trusts in financial planning. Prepare informative newsletters to keep our members updated on relevant industry developments. What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a technical role within the financial services industry. Relevant financial services qualification (e.g., Level 4 Diploma) and a strong understanding of financial products. Familiarity with the UK financial services industry and an awareness of SimplyBiz's services and group businesses Excellent customer support skills, combining exceptional service with technical expertise Capable of developing an in-depth understanding of an industry or sector (demonstrated through previous experience) Good written and verbal communication skills including a confident telephone manner Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines Quick learner with the ability to convey complex information clearly to others. Collaborative approach to problem-solving, including effective communication with internal departments. Resilient and patient approach to customer support with a proactive mindset and willingness to go above and beyond to achieve optimal results Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
