Technology COO Manager / CTO Office Manager

* 6 month initial contract with strong potential for extension
We are looking to onboard an experienced Technology COO Manager / CTO Office Manager to support a large-scale technology organisation within a leading global financial services environment.
This is a highly visible role working closely with senior technology leadership across a global function spanning platforms, engineering, architecture and emerging technology teams.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, supporting workforce strategy, financial management, governance, operational effectiveness and organisational transformation initiatives across a complex technology environment.
This role combines elements of Technology COO, Business Management, Operations Management and Internal Consulting, making it ideally suited to candidates who enjoy solving problems, driving improvements and operating at the intersection of strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with senior technology leaders to support the effective operation of a large global technology organisation
* Drive workforce planning, organisational design and resource management activities
* Support budgeting, forecasting, financial management and cost optimisation initiatives
* Lead operational improvement and process optimisation activities across the function
* Produce executive-level reporting, presentations and management information
* Coordinate governance activities and support senior stakeholder forums
* Support portfolio oversight, delivery tracking and organisational planning activities
* Work closely with Finance, Procurement, HR and Risk teams to drive operational excellence
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge where required
* Drive accountability, follow-through and execution across multiple priorities
Key Requirements
* Strong experience within Technology COO, CTO Office, CIO Office, Technology Business Management or Technology Operations functions
* Experience supporting senior technology leaders within large-scale enterprise environments
* Demonstrable experience in workforce planning, governance, financial management and operational leadership
* Proven track record delivering process improvement, organisational transformation or operational efficiency initiatives
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
* Banking/Financial Services or management consulting background
* Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
* Experience operating within highly regulated or complex global organisations
* Strong financial and commercial awareness
Suitable Backgrounds
Likely to suit candidates currently working within Technology COO, CTO Office, CIO Office or Technology Business Management functions in large banking or financial services organisations. Candidates from consulting backgrounds with experience in technology transformation, operating model design or process improvement would also be highly relevant.
